Law Day 2017 Luncheon: U.S. District Court Judge Mary S. Scriven, Keynote Speaker

The Justice Parker Lee McDonald Law Library and the Highlands County Bar Association invite you to this celebration of our legal system and freedoms in downtown Sebring.  Our keynote speaker, U.S. District Court Judge Mary S. Scriven of the Middle District of Florida will speak on this year's theme, "The 14th Amendment: Transforming American Democracy," recognizing this constitutional amendment as the cornerstone of landmark civil rights legislation and a source of inspiration for all those who advocate for equal justice under the law. 

This luncheon is part of the Highlands County Bar Association's annual Law Day program, and will be attended by this year's Jani Branham Scholarship recipient.  Additionally, the HCBA will announce the recipients of the Judge Clifton M. Kelly Award, the Law Day Award, and the Judge David Langford Professionalism Award.
